Here’s a glamorous twist on an old theme: our new Tissage Dining Table is made up of interwoven metal curves, which create a sculptural center point underneath the table’s floating glass top.
The Tissage Dining Table measures 36″ diameter by 29″ high, and is shown with a 54″ diameter top with a 1″ beveled edge. It is finished in Distressed gold leaf.

Niermann Weeks introduces the first new fire screens to our collection of accessories! The Verlaine Fire Screen features a series of overlapping curves, while the Trocadero Screen makes a bold statement with a series of oversize woven metal buckles. Our Sunburst Screen is our first trifold screen, which we’re showing in our newest silver leaf finish.
The Swedish Lantern, inspired by a 19th century Scandinavian antique, is our newest lighting introduction. We stripped down the superfluous details and decorations of the original to arrive at this simple balance of circles and lines.
The lantern has six lights, and measures 15″ wide by 15″ deep by 26.25″ high. It is shown in our Pavilion gold leaf finish.
It’s hard to fit a glamorous chandelier in a room with eight foot ceilings. We designed the simple metal framework of our Madeleine Ceiling Fixture to fit into such a space, and then finished it in gleaming gold leaf and dripping with shining glass beads. It may be small, but its presence is mightily alluring.
The Madeleine Ceiling Fixture measures 21″ in diameter by 13″ high, and is shown in our French gold leaf finish.
Our Caronia Table Lamp shines beautifully thanks to its faceted base of mirrors in antiqued gold leaf. The lamp is shown in our French gold leaf finish, and it measures 6″ wide by 6″ deep by 24″ high with a 12″ drum shade in ivory linen.
Our Mistral Chandelier was inspired by an antique weathervane in Provence, and features swooping decorative silhouettes tied together with thin metal rods. The six lights have hand-wrapped beeswax candle covers that combine with the glow of the gilded finish to evoke the warmth of Provencal sunshine.
The Mistral Chandelier measures 37 dia x 38.5h, and is shown in our Gilt rust finish.
The simple and graceful geometry of our Melbourne Arm Chair lends itself to a wide range of outdoor settings. The intersecting diamond pattern of the chair back and seat are at once reminiscent of Chinese Chippendale and mid-century French design. It is shown in our Painted zinc finish for outdoors, which was inspired by an antique zinc watering can, and it measures 27” wide by 23.5” deep by 35” high.
Our new Sofie Cocktail Table revives French Moderne design for modern living. The stirrup stretcher sturdily anchors the table base, and we developed a new gold leaf finish based on the beautifully aged gold leaf finish of an antique gilded bronze finial from our collection of objects & artifacts. We recreated that finish on this new table base, and topped it with a strikingly glamorous inset black glass top.
The Sofie Cocktail Table measures 48″ wide by 24″ deep by 20″ high, and is finished in our French gold leaf.

We are ringing in the new year with the Redfern Chandelier, our adorable first lighting introduction for 2012! Joe Niermann found an antique chandelier made of ice tongs with floral iron embellishments in an antique shop years ago, and he kept the curved forms in the back of his head. With more requests for smaller fixtures, we thought it was the perfect time to pull this idea to the front with the creation of the Redfern Chandelier.
The fixture has six lights, measures 21.5 diameter by 19 high, and is shown in our Parisian gold leaf finish.
The curving spoon back of our new Marsan Side Chair is enhanced with hand-turned knobs at the seat and by a slight break in the legs’ line. This elegant profile provides comfortable support as a dining or occasional chair, and the subtle carved details keeps the eye’s focus on the architectural symmetry of the design.
The chair measures 21.5”w x 26.5”d x 40.5h”, and is shown in our Carelian walnut finish.
The Verona Cabinet combines restraint in its simple shape with exuberance in its finish. Layers of antique whites and creams serve as a counterpoint to the delicate linear panels inset into the façade. The distressed gold leaf finish on the door panels and decorative brass banding around the top further enhance the warmth of the finish.
The cabinet measures 35.5”w x 20”d x 32.25”h, and is finished in our new Carrara white & gold leaf finish.
The elegant legs of our Scroll Console connect in inter-arching curves of hand-forged steel. We highlighted the metal base with a faux gilded bronze finish, and painted the planked wooden top in our well-worn Polonaise white finish. The console measures 50.75” wide by 25.75” deep by 32.5” high.
Light reflects around and through the Trianon Chandelier’s composition of curves, highlighted by strings of graduated round crystals and an warmly patinated silver leaf finish. Small sprays of crystal florets flare out underneath the domed top add a touch of whimsy.
The chandelier measures 30” diameter by 39” high, and is shown in our new Distressed silver leaf finish.
During an antiquing trip to France, we spotted a wonderful antique lantern which inspired us to create our new Palissy Lantern. We offer this lantern in a traditional French shape which includes eight lights, four projecting out from the frame and another four shimmering inside. The glass curtain is composed of vertical rows of thin glass tubing, lightly silver-leafed inside the fixture, to lend shimmer to the overall effect.
The lantern measures 30.25” diameter by 30.25” high with 8 lights, and is shown in our Baroque gold leaf finish.
Joe Niermann created the Dominique Ceiling Fixture after admiring a swirling art deco stair railing in a home in Paris. He simplified the silhouette and punctuated its interior space with crystal balls. The arms form a stylized fleur de lys motif and alternate high and low, casting intriguing golden shadows.
The ceiling fixture measures 24″ diameter by 16″ high with six lights and is shown in our Gilt Rust finish.
With its bold silhouette, expressive curves and golden finish, our new Bergerac Floor Lamp brings elegant light into any décor. We found our inspiration in the Paris flea market for the restrained simplicity of our starburst top, reminiscent of the new designs that emerged in 1940′s France.
The Bergerac Floor Lamp measures 20 dia x 69 high with the shade, and is shown in our Distressed gold leaf finish.
We found the original wreck of this table years ago at an antique shop in Palm Beach. The poor table had led a hard life, and its once shiny finish had become battered and chipped. In homage to the original, we kept the thin top and wonderful chunky legs that resembled a pineapple’s outer skin. Our table is made of oak, brushed away and over-painted to reflect the essential durability of this wonderful table. Only later did we discover that Jean-Michel Frank, the modern French master of design, created the original. Niermann Weeks is proud to present our re-interpretation of his elegance.
The Pineapple Coffee Table measures 46w x 30d x 18h, and is shown in our Bleached oak finish.
We developed the design of our Verrocchio Chandelier from an early nineteenth century Italian antique which Joe discovered in a home in Charleston, South Carolina. He increased the size to fit today’s standards and stripped away most of the original superfluous decorative elements to pare the piece down to its essential elements. The resulting Verrocchio Chandelier represents the bold essence of the original antique.
The Verrocchio Chandelier measures 34″ diameter by 33″ high, and it is shown in our new Italian Gold Leaf finish.
